She explained the satisfaction of marriage from the wife's perspective, especially in terms of communication in the first ten years of marriage. Communication is an important part of a marriage relationship, communication can be one of the reasons for divorce, because poor communication can have implications for decreasing levels of marital satisfaction and lead to divorce.
The paper compiled by Ramaryllis uses a developmental psychology approach, which is one of the fields of psychology to study human development including changes in physical, cognitive, emotional, and social aspects. This field of interest was chosen by Ramaryllis with the hope that it can contribute to additional academic references in the field.
Ramaryllis added that this was her first time participating in an international seminar. She wanted to have a scientific paper that could be published in an indexed journal.
"I feel proud and happy. This is my first time participating in a competition and it turns out I was able to. This motivates me to be more enthusiastic in participating in other activities so that I can develop myself more both academically and non-academically," said Ramaryllis.
Ramaryllis continued, she emphasized that this Call For Paper does not only focus on the suitability of the paper to the theme taken, but involves several aspects, including, mastery of the material, analysis of academic problems, the accuracy of the use of research methodology, the urgency of research, and public speaking skills using a foreign language.
Malida Fatimah, S.Psi., M.Cons., as a supervising lecturer provided support by accompanying the process of compiling the paper until the implementation of the competition.
"The results do not betray the efforts that have been made by Ramaryllis. Hopefully through this paper, women, especially wives, can have the awareness to learn how to maintain good communication in marriage to achieve harmony in the household," said Maulida.
